Piano Festival
Fall 2019| Environmental Branding
The task of this project was to brand and design elevations for a piano concert and performance hall. The hallmark of this project was to make everything musical, yet honor the classical music theme. There are many deliverables in this project including a program book, banners, interior walls, and more.
Synopsis

Process and Ideation
I sketched the different logo and pattern possibilities of different themes. I felt that having a modern, simple, and contemporary for an older audience look would reach my design goal better.

Palette & Type
I chose the red, black, and white palette to create a classical yet contemporary look. It want the red to bring the boldness and energy to the event. The black and white helps to contrast the colors.

Logo, Icons, and Pattern
The logo was inspired by synesthesia and synthetic piano playing. I wanted to use the piano keys and create a contemporary and formal look. I tried to base my icons on the geometric and linear elements of the piano keys. The 3 radial patterns were made from the musical notes to provide the fun spirit of classical music.

Banners
These banners showcased different artists featured at the event and inspirational quotes about the importance of music.

Program Booklet
The piano program booklet shows the performance schedule, artist bios, inspirational quotes, and musical repertoire. Musical patterns and piano graphics were incorporated to make the booklet look musical.

Piano Concert Hall
I made the entry wall to showcase all the composers that were important to the event. I want the audience to walk in and see the different composers. Once they enter the hallway, they will see the different quotes. In the main hallway, music notes all lead to the contrasting red musical stage. Red is bold and it helps the audience lead into the stage.

The lobby
I created kiosks for the hallway. I included quotes from the musicians and implemented musical graphics to bring the look and feel of the performance when the audiences come in.
