Appreciating Music Campaign
Fall 2020| Branding
The purpose of this project is to brand a campaign focused on appreciating the everyday things we often overlook: #AppreciateSimplicity. Every day, I love listening to music, especially classical, so I branded my project around classical music appreciation. I explored different graphic elements and typography inspired by my feelings toward music from around the world.
Synopsis
Process and Ideation
I sketched icons based on the different feelings I have toward classical music and how it inspires me. It helps me cope with stress and stay in the present moment. I believe music is very powerful and expressive through emotions, which inspired the idea for my campaign: PlayTheMoment. I want the aesthetics to be fun yet sophisticated.
Graphic Elements/ Illustration
I experimented with different typographic treatments to create a campaign for a musical campaign. I tried to make the typography to resemble music notes and musicality.

Type and manipulation
Since I feel that music can be sophisticated yet so expressive and fun, I want my elements to be a combination of both. I made different glyphs of the musical notes and the different style variation. Since I love illustration and how expressive they are, I thought it would be very useful to incorporate these to one of my type designs.

The pallete is inspired by the pastel colors of the piano keys and the violin.

Icons
I created these icons based on how I feel about music overall. It is universal and it connects people together. It is delightful because it makes us happy. It is soulful because it expresses our heart and emotions.
Patterns
Simple patterns I made from my graphic elements. They are elegant, abstract, and playful.
Instagam Graphic Cards:
For the Instagram posts, I combined the logotype and graphic elements to create stylized typographic message posts. The illustrations and graphic elements generate interest and evoke feelings of fun towards music.
